Fika directly translates form Swedish to mean "coffee" (although the real translation of that "kaffe") but it's really so much more. It's a cultural movement, a practice. Nearly every day (usually twice) Swedes stop what they are doing, gather with coworkers, family, or friends, and have a cup of coffee and a little snack. At Carina's we have a daily Fika deal for $5, but we also give the opportunity to make it feel more special with an experience that is a combination of English high tea and Swedish Fika, featuring a selection of our favorite treats as well as tiny open faced sandwiches and other savory items.
